The Shader for the Bubble of the Ward. It's a lot of noises all piled up on top of eachother and multiplied together, with the most notable being the gradient strip used to create the "shine" wipe effect on the ward's bubble.

Flipbook of the Lightning Bolt used in the Lightning Strike; It's just a simple drawn texture with an underlay of itself, blurred, to create a glow/glow-highlight type of effect.

Card Game VFX Study

This is a collection of effects I made over the course of 6 days as part of a Work-Test for an unannounced card-game project. Any assets other than the VFX (such as the art on the cards) are not mine; The background has also been blurred for this reason.
Overall, this was very exciting to work on! It was a lot of fun taking on a work test for the first time after everything I learnt during my internship @ Glaucus Games, but it was also suprisingly challenging as I was not only working in Unity (which I'm less familiar with overall) but also in a different artstyle (A Final-Fantasy esq. artstyle which incorporates a lot more noise, layering and realistic elements). In the end, I think I ended up with a result I'm very satisfied with, although there are definetly improvements to be made. I think the color contrast is the main focus, as I definetly could have applied a better use of gradients; Something I think the heal spell does well (with its varying shades of green), but the other ones... less so.

All in all, cool project!
